    LS-C001 is mainly used for the production of anti-corrosion paint and lacquer.

    LS-C002, LS-C003 are mainly used in wire and cable coils, waterproof materials, automotive industry, and other fields. They are resistant to changes in climate, heat, ionizing radiation, low temperature, abrasion, electrical insulation, and have excellent mechanical properties.


    What is chlorosulfonated polyethylene?

    The name chlorosulfonated polyethylene refers to a wide group of chlorinated elastomers. These chemicals are also often referred to as CSM, synthetic rubber, or Hypalon, which is a trade name under which the chemical is sold by DuPont, a company that first developed it. 

    CSM contains 27% – 45% of chlorine, which lends the chemical many of its properties. Chlorosulfonated polyethylene is widely known for its chemical robustness. It’s highly resistant to ultraviolet light, extreme temperatures, acids and other aggressive chemicals, and abrasion. The chemical is also fire resistant, and it holds up very well against destruction by microorganisms. This allows the chemical to be used at a range of temperatures from -20°C and +125°C. CSM also easily adheres to other surfaces. 

    Chlorosulfonated polyethylene is the base polymer for CSM synthetic rubbers.

    Chlorosulfonated polyethylene compounds provide excellent ozone, oxidation, sunlight (color degradation), and weather resistance. They are also capable of providing excellent resistance to alkalis and acids.

    Renowned for its resistance to chemicals, temperature extremes, and ultraviolet light, CSM coating is ideal for use in applications subject to harsh environments.

    CSM fabric is used for automotive and industrial applications, machine parts, floor tiles, gaskets, flexible tubes, rolls and linings.

    Generally, our CSM contains 33–45 % chlorine and very nominal sulphur content (approximately 0.8–1.2%). The enormous improvement in physical, mechanical, and dielectric properties as well as electrical and thermal conductivity of the entire CSM rubber composites is due to the addition of the particulate fillers including conductive fillers. The physico-mechanical behaviour of the composites is quite captivating with respect to other rubber composites in a wide temperature range viz. −80 to 160 °C. It can be used in low-voltage applications in cables where dielectric strength is 500 V/mil with dielectric constant 8−10 at 1000 Hz and dissipation factor in the range of 0.05–0.07 at 1000 Hz. CSM is widely practiced in exteriors or outer protective jackets in high-voltage applications due to its outstanding weather-resistant property. Meanwhile, CSM is also widely applied in the fabrication of composites to minimize the effect of radiation pollution emitting uncontrollably from electronic devices. CSM can uptake desirable amount of conducting filler for enrichment or improvement of the conductivity solely to the composites.

    Chlorosulfonated polyethylene elastomers (CSPE) are used for electrical insulation applications and in corrosive environments as preventative agents. They function well in a wide temperature range between -20°C and +125°C (-4°F and 257°F).


    Uses of CSM

    Most uses of CSM utilize the chemical’s resistance against various extreme conditions. It’s often used in protective coatings of wires, tubes, rubber gaskets, garden hoses, shoe soles, roofing materials, paint, cables, etc.
